Baby boy is taken to hospital with an injured face after being mauled by a dog
A baby boy has been rushed to hospital after he was reportedly attacked by a dog in Central Queensland.
Emergency services were called to a home in Raglan Street, Mount Larcom shortly before 3.15pm on Wednesday.
The little boy was treated at the scene for superficial facial injuries and was transported to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.
A Queensland Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia a dog catcher was called to the address following the incident and that Gladstone Regional Council are investigating.
The breed of the dog is currently unknown.
The council has confirmed an investigation has been launched.
'Council’s Local Laws officers have attended and the owner has immediately surrendered the animal to council,' a spokesman told Daily Mail Australia.
