How did Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels, Goring and Dr. Mengele feel about each other? Did they get on well together?

First, let’s exclude Mengele from the answer. He was not a powerful personality like the others, and I think only Himmler (whose SS empire-into-the-empire was responsible about extermination camps) knew him, I don’ t know if on a personal level. He wasn’t the kind of guy whom the big ones desired to meet or be linked to, anyway.
Hitler, always and from the start, played the ‘divide them and rule them’ (his main and most potentially dangerous collaborators) card, as any leader does, to be true. This means that Nazi Germany was divided in a number of competing agencies. The SS (security police at first, then private nazi army and secret service, SD) were under Himmler, whom Hitler called his ‘faithful Heinrich’. But Himmler kept on building his own military and economic SS empire, because he wanted to cancel the Wehrmacht (Army) and Government power, and make Germany completely nazified. And substitute Hitler with himself. When, in the last days of April 1945, Hitler (framed in the Berlin bunker) knew Himmler had begun peace talkings with the Allies, wanted him to be arrested, but it was too late, Himmler wandered for days with his SS escort, was arrested by the British but managed to suicide with cyanide.
Goring was one of the oldest Hitler’s comrades. He had been a WWI fighter planes hero, then went Sweden, married a rich baroness, and, after meeting Hitler, he became one of the most important links between nazis and German social and economic aristocracy. In fact, during the 12 years of the nazi regime, he built his own economic fortune, establishing the “Hermann Goring Werke”. And, during the War, he had his own armoured division , guess what? - the “Hermann Goring” division (exceptionally, considered as part of his Luftwaffe). That division fought bravely here in Italy, but killed a lot of civilians (they were as fanatic as the SS). In WWII, as Supreme Chief of the Luftwaffe (Air Forces) Goering completly failed (he was a morphine addict, a vice he got after being shot in an ankle by Munich police during the failed nazi golpe, putsch, in Bavaria, 1923. That wound’ pain never left him). In those same last days of April 1945, he was in the still unoccupied part of Germany as Himmler and, when he knew Hitler was surrounded in Berlin, he sent a telegram or whatever saying he would substitute the Fuhrer. Who wanted him arrested but (again) he had no more effective power outside a part of Berlin (Russians were getting closer and closer). Captured by Americans, Goering was sentenced to death at Nuremberg trial, but he too, managed to suicide with cyanide the night before the executions.
Goebbels, the genius of propaganda, had a fanatical, mistic love for Hitler. Hitler trusted him. Goebbels made his little daughters and one son to be killed with poison by a SS physician, then took cyanide, and/or shot himself with his wife, a few hours after Hitler.
To complete the nazi leaders’ scene, I must add Bormann, Hitler’s personal secretary, a not completely known, hidden personality, who decided whose reports, requests for a meeting etc. had a a priority or not, in being passed to the Fuhrer. In the last year of the war, he became really important. The night after Hitler’s and Eva Braun’s suicide, Bormann and some others tried to escape the Russian encirclement but, at least one survivor testified, were blown off by a random Russian grenade.
Everyone among this hierarchs always hated the others, trying to steal the others power, resources, men, Hitler’s approval. They sometimes made alliances against someone (of them, or others), but always cheated each other. Goering was the most hated and despised, Himmler the most feared. This manouvres have been covered in many books. Hitler had never completely depended on them.
LET ME ADD SOMETHING, I hope not OT, but (I hope) useful.
In the mid-1930s, a NY German born gangster (with double citizenship and passport) was very close to be put on trial, with a probable 2 to 4 years sentence, his lawyer told him. So, not being ‘wanted’ by the law yet, he went Germany. After a few months, he came back, faced the trial, was given 3 years.
Why? He said: “Those nazis who rule Germany are gangsters like me, and I know the way they ‘work’. Better to be here in a US jail”.
